Glen Thompsett
Glen has twenty-five years experience in broadcasting having worked in both radio and television. Beginning his television career as a Continuity Announcer at TVS in the late 1980s, moving to London Weekend Television and then the newly formed ITV Networks in 2002. In addition to that he has worked across a wide genre of programming from hard news to travel and from corporate to shopping.

After years of working in the city Gavin Cloake set up New Business in 1997. The aim of New Business was to speak directly with directors and owners of small and medium sized businesses. In order to assist the companies and provide them with essential advice Gavin ensured the information was easily accessible through both print and online. Gavin established a 96 page quarterly publication which reports and reviews on all key areas of business including finance, accounting, business planning, marketing and technology. The magazine also features exclusive interviews with leading officials and entrepreneurs.

In order to provide the businesses with instant essential advice needed to ensure growth of business www.newbusiness.co.uk was born. The site offers special reports top tips and practical advice, which can be used in the workplace. The site has gone from strength to strength and now attracts over one million hits per month.

Dan Matthews, Business Journalist

Dan is a veteran business journalist with approaching 10 years experience writing about issues affecting firms in the UK and Europe. Following a stint as special correspondent at Jane's Defence Weekly magazine, he moved to Press Holdings and BusinessEurope.com, becoming editor in October 2001.

After BusinessEurope.com broke away from Press Holdings and merged with VC website Venturedome.net, Dan became group online editor and soon after the business was snapped up by Crimson Business publishing, where he became group online editor of the enlarged company.

Dan left Crimson early in 2006 to become online publisher of Caspian Publishing where he stayed until December 2007 before leaving to go it alone with his own venture...and P&F Media was born.

Dan has also been contributing editor of Real Business and Growing Business Magazines and is a regular contributor to business-orientated TV, radio and written press. He has published four books on aspects of doing business and retains a good working relationship with both Caspian and Crimson.

What little spare time Dan has he devotes to drumming, writing (non-business material), motorbiking, films, theatre and socialising.
